BOOKING
All wedding cakes require a minimum of 90 days notice. No wedding cakes will be booked more than 18 months before the event date. If dates are available and time allows, wedding cakes may be booked with less than 90 days notice. Any wedding cake booked with less than 90 days notice will incur a $100 rush fee for cakes feeding 150 or more and $75 dollars for cakes feeding less than 150 guests. Absolutely no wedding cakes will be booked with less than 35 days to the date of the event.
DEPOSITS
A minimum Deposit of 50% or $250 dollars, whichever is greater, is required to reserve your wedding date. All deposits are due at the time of booking. No event dates will be reserved without a paid deposit. All deposits are non refundable.
CANCELLATIONS & DATE CHANGES
Events cancelled prior to 120 days before the event will be subject to a refund of their total deposit MINUS a $50 reservation fee. Because booking your date and then cancelling caused the space not to be available for another client, the reservation fee applies to all events cancelled prior to 120 before the event.
Events cancelled within 120 days of the event will forfeit all deposits made but may be entitled to a refund of additional monies paid after the initial deposit. Each case is different depending on the reason for the cancellation and all refunds will be at the discretion of Cakes by Amber.
Events cancelled within 60 days of the event will forfeit all deposits as well as all monies paid towards the remaining balance. Cakes by Amber reserves the right to issue total or partial refunds after the 60 day point at our discretion.
If you need to change the date of your event, any deposits made will be transferred to the new date as long as the new date requested is available.
CAKE TASTINGS
Tasting are $30 and payment is required at the time the tasting is reserved. A notice of 3 weeks is required for all tastings. Tastings include up to 3 flavors of cake and 3 flavors of icing. Additional cake flavors can be requested for an additional $8 per flavor up to a maximum of 5 flavors total per tasting. Additional icing flavors may be requested for a cost of $3 each with a maximum of 5 flavors per tasting. All tasting fees are non refundable, however, the cost of your tasting will be deducted from your cake balance if an order is placed. Maximum credit to be received towards your cake will not exceed $30.
PICTURES & VIDEO
Pictures and/or video of your cake may be taken during the decorating and set up process. Any pictures taken during this time will be done by Cakes by Amber and may be used for promotion via social media or at events.
